The students should regularly practice their math and reading skills on TenMarks and ReadTheory regardless of the daily/weekly assigned homework. They should definitely practice when there is a break, on weekends, or when little/no homework is assigned.
The students are currently provided with a spiral review/preview of math skills. The weekly homework sheet is given to the students at the beginning of the week, and it is reviewed/correct as a class throughout the week.
In addition to any weekly or daily assigned homework, the students should be reading a book on their Lexile level for at least 20 minutes each night, including weekends and holidays, and practicing their multiplication/division facts. Help your child make daily reading a habit by letting them see you read and setting aside family reading time.
Visit www.lexile.com to locate books on your child's Lexile level and interests. The students' Lexile range is located inside their agenda cover.
Please read the following information about how students can use their agenda to help develop strong Habits of Scholarship.
